“To all the people who love NINE FLOWERS for CULINARY - EPICUREAN - FESTIVE - DECORATIVE purposes across New Zealand.
Well, what a year! Of exuberance, transformation, creative solutions, and patience. Of frustration, tears, relief, heartache, determination, understanding and compassion. Of fear, anxiety, trust and resilience. And the plethora of experiences you all will have lived.
For us there is a stand out feeling across the year. We maintained and cared for our strong community of incredibly talented, passionate and cherished growers and customers. We learnt the intricacies of moving regions, making new friends and missing the familiar. We found pleasure growing and blending our exquisite New Zealand botanicals. Yes, entering the world of wholesaling sure was a whole new ball game just before Covid, but we can say, hand on heart, what a journey, and here’s to an ongoing adventure.
By pausing at times, we listened to how the plants sustain us, and enjoyed time and time again customers delighting in their diverse endeavours with NINE FLOWERS.
We now welcome December 2020 with curiousity and passion; for local flowers, growers and the life of bees. We work daily with the seasonal offerings our gardens have to share with you.
The earth still holds us (as wet, muddy, dry, and cracked as it may be). Rain still pelts us, wind keeps us on our toes, the sun and moon shine. We thank devoted family and friends who encourage, help and believe in the beauty of Nine Flowers. We learnt to receive help picking, planting, packing, and to have faith in our vision, to plan, design and work hard as a small company to be sustaining, locally and globally, in what matters most to us.
We are working night and day on our new product ranges from THE PICKING GARDEN. With dismay, Jasmine Buds that you love in your Warm Embrace Blend, are delayed again. However, we are really really delighted to be reaching up to pick New Zealand Grown, Spray Free flowers (which are off the charts in Goodness); deep rich colours, fragrant, medicinal, textural and offering us humans an experience of Beauty, in the palm of our hands.
